Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche

The Istituto Tecnologie Didattiche (ITD) is one of the research institutes of the Italian National Council of Research. It was created in 1970 and is the only one fully dedicated to research in Technology Enhanced Learning. Currently it has a core permanent staff of 32 units, 10 research fellowships and 7 associated PhD students. The Institute is strongly interdisciplinary with expertise which includes informatics, mathematics, physics, linguistics, psychology, pedagogy.

Over the past twenty years, CNR-ITD has been participating with continuity to the European research in TEL since the first DELTA exploratory action in 1988. CNR-ITD has also participated with a leading role to many national programs and cooperates with continuity with Italy's Ministry of Education. CNR-ITD research is mainly focused on innovative technology-based environments for enhancing teaching and learning processes and for the development of emerging social and cognitive skills.
