An interactive inventory of e-learning tools and resources from research centres, universities, museums, science centres and companies. This inventory will grow throughout the project adding new applications and tools including those from teacher communities in the Inspiring Science Education and Open Discovery Space communities.
The bringing together of existing technological solutions into a coordinated and integrated educational environment for both teachers and students. Teachers will be able to find, adapt and exploit existing eLearning tools and resources as well as design their own educational scenarios. Students accessing the eLearning tools and resources will benefit from a consistent learning environment.
Building and expanding the community of users for long term science education sustainable planning. The community will support the enhancement of teachers skills and knowledge using new opportunities offered by the Inspiring Science Education Demonstrators and e-learning tools.
5,000 schools in Europe will be selected to participate in piloting Inspiring Science Education tools and resources through plans developed in cooperation with the local teachers. These plans, in the form of case studies, will be tested in real conditions in the schools themselves.
