Winner of the September 2015 Eratosthenes Experiment Photo Contest
TheEllinogermaniki Agogi's (EA) Research and Development Department as part of the Inspiring Science Education (ISE) projects arehappy to announce the winners of theSeptember 2015 Eratosthenes Experiment Photo Contest.
The winning teacher of the contest is Anita Simacof theOsnovnaSkolaPetraPreradovicainZadar (Croatia).She will receive one scholarship to attend the Inspiring Science Education Summer Academy, also organised by EA's R & D Department on 10-16 July 2016 in Athens.
Aside from congratulating the winner, the organisers thank all participants who helped turn the Eratosthenes Experiment into magnificent world educational event and invite everybody to join again in the next event.
The Eratosthenes Experiment, organized on the 23rd of September 2015, received another overwhelming response, as 344 schools from 31 countries participated in this celebration of science and education, calculating the circumference of the Earth by using eLearning educational tools and simple instruments.
47 schools and institutions took part in the Eratosthenes Photo Contest, submitting pictures capturing the schools' involvement in the experiment.
