Making Media Matter for Science Education
The organisers of the annual Media & Learning Conference have announced that they are planning a pre-conference workshop on the theme of using media to support STEM teaching which will take place in Brussels on 9 March 2016. The main conference taking place on 10-11 March will include a conference track with presentations and discussions on the theme of Making Media Matter for Science Education. A call for contributions is now open on the M&L Conference site. In addition, the MEDEA Awards has also introduced a special prize to recognise excellence in the use of media to support STEM teaching which is open to everyone involved in the teaching of STEM subjects including teachers, content producers and trainers. The closing date for entries is 30 November 2015 and you can find out all you need to enter here. Finalists in the MEDEA Awards will be invited to take part in the MEDEA Awards Ceremony taking place in Brussels as part of the Media & Learning Conference 2016.
