Implementation of the ISE tools for Senior High School students in Larisa (Greece)

On 19 April, fifty students aged 16-17, from different schools of the Thessaly region accompanied by seven teachers joined the 2nd Research Center of Larisa to follow a hands-on CERN experience. An introduction to the world of elementary particles was given by Dr. S. Sotiriou followed by the description and working knowledge of the ISE demonstrator by Mr. G. Vasileiadis. The students followed all steps of the demonstrator and answered the PISA questions on each step. Most of the time of this half-day experience was spent in the third phase where they used the embedded HYPATIA tool to search for Z and Higgs bosons.
