The HYPATIA, GOLC award winning online lab will be part of the ISE academy tutoring program
In a special session during the REV2016 Conference in Madrid, 24-26 Feb 2016, the HYPATIA Event display was recognised by the Global Online Laboratory Consortium (GOLC) as the winner of the 'visualised experiment' category.
The authors of HYPATIA are Chrstina Kourkoumelis and Stylianos Vourakis from the Institute of Accelerating Systems and Applications and the University of Athens, Greece. They are partners in the Inspiring Science Education project and have embedded the lab in the ISE HYPATIA demonstrator which enables high school students to study events from the ATLAS experiment at CERN and search for the Z and Higgs bosons. The participants of the ISE academy will have the chance to interact with the demonstrator, get hands-on experience with the guidance of the authors and design their own demonstrators based on the event display.
