Pilot schools

Being an Inspiring Science Pilot school means having a willingness to share best practice and the experience of using ICT in your education practices. You will have an opportunity to participate in activities that introduce students and teachers to science through the use of online resources and tools as well as receive training and support from a national contact (applies to project partner countries, see national contact points).

The Inspiring Science Education project is open to schools from all over Europe and will involve more than 5,000 schools in 13 different European countries during its lifetime. Schools that are actively participating are located in Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, The Netherlands and UK.

Using the ISE Portal you can search, replicate and create lessons and educational scenarios for your students. You can easily provide data and structured feedback to the ISE consortium through the online resources.

Do you have an interest in future-oriented thinking and pioneering practices in science education, and/or experimentation with eLearning practices? Then complete the 3 steps and join as a pilot school now!

Step 1: Complete the
e-Maturity Survey

Many teachers and students are curious to know just how well prepared their school is for collaboration in ICT supported projects like Inspiring Science Education. Rate your school bycompleting the e-Maturity Surveyto discover the strengths and weaknesses of your school in relation to ICT. Ask your national contact for other language versions.

Step 2: Join the
Community

Register on the ISE portal and create your school community. You can add resources and members, and create discussions, polls, events as well as connecting to other teachers and schools in your region and beyond.

Step 3: Complete the
Action Plan

The action plan will help you to set goals and objectives for the development of your school. It is a tool for the design of one or more implementation activities and their relation to the development of your school in the five e-maturity parameters.
Ask yournational contact pointto provide you with the Action Plan for you to complete.
