Successful Performance of F1 in Schools Demonstrator

A total number of 359 students aged 14 to 17 participated in the ISE Demonstrator “F1 in Schools Challenge – Tackling the STEM shortage at top speed (English V.2)”, and a total number of 282 students answered all PSC Questions. The implementation took place in 30 High Schools (Junior and Senior) from all over the Greece from October to December 2015.

The participant students were selected from among the school teams registered to participate in F1 in Schools Greece Competition, season period 2015 – 2016, and the ISE demonstrator is used to qualify them for the national finals. The demonstrator gives students the chance to use industry 3D design and analysis tools and learn real-world skills.

Learning outcomes

The main learning outcomes are:

  • To enrich the teaching of STEM subjects.
  • To demonstrate how the use of the ISE Tools (Logger Lite) and Recourses (F1inSchools) could help teachers in their everyday school practices.
  • To challenges students to learn through engagement in a series of real problems that they are likely to face as future professionals.

Students are able to use industry 3D design and analysis tools and learn real-world skills.
